Es hat sich schon seit Monaten angedeutet, nun scheint es wahr zu werden: Die Pixies werden nach 14 Jahren ein neues Studioalbum aufnehmen, wie Black Francis bestätigte: "We have been discussing recording a new album lately. As happy as we are with the success of the reunion tour, we really want to make a record for the right reasons, whether it is successful commercially or not. (...) We would be satisfied if it played like our other records, never chart-topping but always in print." Seit der Reunion sind bereits die beiden Songs "Bam Thwok" und das Warren Zevon-Cover "Ain’t That Pretty At All" veröffentlicht worden. Am Montag dagegen erscheint zunächst Frank Blacks nächster Solostreich "Honeycomb"
